Why this to me alone???

Strange.. we keep on asking this question when we are in trouble.. "Why this has happened to me alone?" "What did I do, Why all are put on me only?"
hmm.. good.. right thing to ask.. But did you ever notice this strange thing? You ask this question only when bad things happen to you, only when troubles are hitting you, only problems are cropping up in your life.
You dont give space to think about your problem, to work for its solution, to move towards the next step, but rather spend your energy and time in asking the same question " why this to me?"

Just imagine the other way round, if you are in good times, if you have got a promotion, if you land up in a high paying job, you just now had a lovely baby.. will you ask this question " why this to me"? You just jump high in air with happines.

Right, you never asked God this question, when you had the right thing, when God has chosen you for some of the happiest moments.. But you turn up to him for blaming when he is giving you little problems, just to make you stronger.  Dont you think its an utter selfishness?

When you say you have a problem, think that there is a solution for it.. Work towards that solution, dont stand there with your problem, move next step further and you will know that the problem has faded away with your solution.

If you dont see a solution for a problem, please dont call it as a problem.  Accept it as a fact.. raw fact.. and move towards next step. I am sure.. you will find great days ahead...

Next time when you ask "why alone to me" question, think of the good days that God gave you. :)

Forget it!!!! Is that so easy?

"Forget it.." as we say.. while we fight or argue or sometimes even in a steady mood.... I wonder, is that so easy to forget something?

To forget about our painful past..
To forget about our lost relationship..
To forget the words that hurt us.....
                             and the list goes..
I kept on thinking as to why we dont forget our painful past although we have truly beautiful memories and happiest moments in the present. Why dont we forget the pain we took to earn single penny in the past when we actually earn lakhs today. Why dont we forget the pain of our lost relationship when we are actually in a wonderful relationship today. The question in my mind goes on.

Then at one point, it occured to my mind that we fail to enjoy the present, fail to relish every moment we live now, fail to think about the beautiful days we may have tomorrow, fail to dream for wonderful beginning tomorrow. Yes, this is the truth. We keep on lingering over our past painful moments and does not allow them to heal. We tend to make deep cuts over and over on the same wound which had already left a deep scar in our mind.

We fail to understand God has given us the great power of forgeting... greatest power for the wound to heal on its own. Yes, have you not seen the mother living and leading a life after the death of her dearest son, the children moving on after their parents depart, the wife/husband moving on after their love is lost. That is because, God has given them the power to forget the pain and the strength to move ahead.  God is within us every moment, good or bad.. We just sometimes fail to realise this fact.

Lets keep on moving....with the belief that HE is with us...:)

Can we share our misery?

Have you ever thought whether you can really share your misery with someone?  Hmm.. I too never thought of it until I came across a book. This book has synopsis of speeches made by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (pioneer of Art of Living Concept) where he talks of different aspects of life like Love, Death, Ignorance, Misery, Karma, Doubt, Sorrow, Happiness etc.
I am moved by the line which says that there is no point in sharing your misery for it doesn’t diminish when you share.  But on the other hand, if you share your joy and happiness, it increases manifold. This line touched me from within.  Just few days before holding on to this book, I went on to share my misery, only later to realize that it didn't decrease a bit, and had actually added more to my woes.  Then I read through this line over and over again and I realized the truth in it.  But I know, without sharing your misery with anyone would leave you stumbled, would get on to your nerves and leave you in an inebriated state.
You can share your misery only with someone who is just a passive listener, who just listens to your woes and miseries, empathizes with you and then leaves you on your own.  This way your heart is lightened, but understand that it will not diminish your misery in any way.  But surely will help you remain calm and in senses. By saying this, I am not trying to be philosophical, but understood this truth in my own experience.

A vacuum created

I have heard that sleep is a natural way when a tiny glimpse of death is experienced. By sleep, we put our body to rest, whereas by death we put our soul to rest.  And when I heard the death news of our Guruswamy Uncle, this was the first thing that stuck my mind.  Because, he rested in peace while he was in deep sleep. How blessed he is, everyone had the same to tell.  For one born as human, this kind of End that he/she should pray for. And especially, for the one who has performed all his lifetime duties well and had a fulfilling life, the end also came in a fulfilling way.
Guruswamy Uncle,as we call him, was a spiritual person. His face had a natural calmness, his piousness was visible on his face and could understand that spirituality was well within him.  Now he has gone to live with the God, creating a vaccum in his place. Love and time fill this vacuum, reshape our lives, and enable us to continue to live.
Finally, I would say that he was dear to God. Its not important if we love God, finally God should love us and take us under his wings.....
